QSMEE and the
PINE VALLEY MINIATURE RAILWAY
Our Society has a diverse range of members and some other interests involve traction engines, stationary steam, petrol engines, propeller and jet aircraft engines and tool making.
The Society operates the Pine Valley Miniature Railway on its five acre landscaped property with over 2,000 metres of 7¼” and 5″ gauge ground level track, and approximately 180 metres of 5″, 3½” and 2½” gauge elevated track. We are located in the suburb of Warner.
On the first Sunday of the month is our main monthly working day. If you are looking to join the Society, this is a good day to come and introduce yourself.
Between 10am and 2.30pm on the second Sunday of the month is given to public train rides. Those with pre-purchased tickets come along and enjoy miniature train rides and our picnic facilities.
Wednesdays are mid week work days. Members attend to building and maintaining our track and facilities and are affectionately known as our “Wednesday Warriors”.
The Society prides itself on fostering all aspects of model engineering even though operating locomotives is the main activity. All members are expected to participate in both the promotion of the hobby and the upkeep and maintenance of the facility. While we welcome and encourage new members, each member will be expected to contribute to the upkeep of our Railway.
If you wish to visit for a train ride, please see the information on the “Visit Us” page. We have to manage the number of visitors on site and because of our popularity a pre-purchased ticket is a must.
